Comfort Through Song
Last month we looked at Whatcom Death Matters, a group that meets monthly for conversations about mortality and end of life. That edition received a lot of engagement, and I heard from a member of the groupβs planning committee that many readers attended.

The group meets again tonight, March 16, with the Bellingham Threshold Singers discussing how music can be an important factor in the end of life journey.
This incredible group of ladies volunteer their time to share songs, and compassion, at the bedside of those who are seriously ill or dying, along with their families. In groups of three or four, they βsing songs of peace and love, courage and letting go, healing and joy to let people know they are not alone on their journey.β
In the video below, Wendy Bloom describes how the Threshold Singers brought comfort to her and her family. π
Tonightβs gathering will begin with a presentation from the singers before opening the room for sharing βwhatever may be on your heart and mind.β The meeting runs from 6:30 to 8 pm at the Old Parish Hall of St. Paulβs Episcopal Church, 2117 Walnut Street, across from the main brick campus. Free parking is available in the adjacent lot.

Your Money Story Has Nothing to Do with Numbers
Certified Financial Therapist

Most money problems arenβt math problems. Theyβre story problemsβthe stories youβve absorbed about worth, security, and what you deserve. Those beliefs began long before your first paycheck, and they still shape every financial choice you make today.
Financial therapy helps you uncover and rewrite those stories. Itβs not about budgets or spreadsheets, but about understanding why you spend, save, or avoid money the way you do. Iβm Susan Fee, a Certified Financial Therapist. I help individuals and couples heal financial stress at its rootsβtransforming anxiety into clarity and self-compassion into sustainable change.
