Michael Carbonaro: Wonderboy
Saturday, May 16

You’ve seen him blow minds on screen, now see it happen live. Michael Carbonaro brings his wildly popular blend of magic and comedy to the Mount Baker Theatre this Saturday, May 16.
Part magician, part comedian, all mischief-maker — WONDERBOY is where magic is the superpower, laughter is the sidekick, and reality doesn’t stand a chance. America’s favorite trickster is conjuring up unbelievable magic and wonder for all ages.

Sing With the Toppers
Here’s a fun one if you’ve been looking for an opportunity to meet a community with a passion for song, but without a long-term commitment. The Mount Baker Toppers will be gathering on Tuesday nights beginning tomorrow, May 12, in preparation for a Night of A Cappella performance on June 20th.

This is an open invitation to form an ALL VOICES chorus. If you’d like to participate, you’ll want to swagger on down to the Fairhaven Library Auditorium at 7:00 pm tomorrow. You can learn more about The Toppers here.
The city is looking for suggestions to name the new park off E. Bakerview Road. The park includes a total of 29 acres of undeveloped land with a mix of hayfields and mature forest. You can read about the city’s plans here.

Now… the city ran a similar poll for the pier previously known as “the Squalicum Pier” and settled on… “Little Squalicum Pier,” 🤨 despite a deluge of creative and hilarious suggestions. So… I’m not sure seriously these naming polls are taken.
