Dick’s Drive-In just announced a June 12th opening date for it’s brand-new Everett location. They are creeping north little by little folks. I’m pretty sure we have room for a Dick’s or two. #DicksOnMeridian #DicksOnLakeway

Holiday Weekend Happenings
Memorial Day is peak Bellingham. There’s more to do than any sane person could possibly fit in. But try we must!! 😜 Let’s run down the big events here, then check the nightlife section for music and games.
Today (Friday): The Lummi Canoe Team and members of indigenous communities from around the world, participating in the fifth annual Gathering of the Eagles, will complete the weeklong journey through the San Juan Islands and make landfall at Gooseberry Point at 1 pm. Facebook events listing with times and details.
Saturday: Be sure to grab a spot downtown to watch the traditional Memorial Day Parade (formerly the Ski to Sea Parade) from 12-2 pm, with Grand Marshal Terry Crump. Warrant Officer Terry Crump was a Cobra Gunship pilot who earned a near-unprecedented seven Flying Crosses in his one year tour in Vietnam. He was one of Vietnam's most decorated pilots. Sunday: And of course, Memorial Day Weekend would not be complete without our very own Ski to Sea, the multi-sport team relay from the Mt. Baker Ski Area to Bellingham Bay. Use the map provided by the Ski to Sea organizers to find safe locations along the 93 mile route, where you can cheer on racers. Then head down to Fairhaven for full-tilt block party mode. Southside parking is notoriously painful on race day, so WTA is offering shuttle service from WWU’s C Lot on Bill McDonald Parkway. See WhatcomTalk for details.

Memorial Day Parade, Cornwall Ave - Honor our heroes and celebrate our community from noon to 2pm. (Formerly the Ski to Sea Parade) Find a spot along the route.
Memorial Weekend Block Party, Stones Throw - An all-ages outdoor beer garden from 12–9pm, packed with live music, delicious local food, and—of course—ice-cold craft beer. Fingers crossed for sun!

Lummi Island Art Tour - This tour offers an array of art and craft mediums and styles from over 25 participating artists. Check the map.
Music Fest w. Country Rose, Paws for a Beer - Find live music, beers, and two & four-legged friends just up the road from the end of the race! Bring your pups.
